Although Cognome officially spun out of Montefiore on May 31st, 2024, our platform went into production internally - with help from Intel - all the way back in 2018. Back then it was called PALM. Here’s an article from HealthTech that describes the platform, and our very first AI model - one to predict respiratory failure which of course proved incredibly useful once COVID hit us with vengeance in 2019.
Intel was a partner with us in 2018 and continues to be a partner today. Most recently we developed an AI Model to predict Sepsis and complete all of the reporting and chart review mandated by CMS. It’s amazing how an article from 6 years ago still reads as though it is fresh news today.
